Backstage
This is a behind-the-scenes look at what happens in Nahual and our fabrics that later become your garments. All our pieces are made one by one, we do not produce several garments at a time, we dedicate the time, care and process necessary for each design.
We only use textile bases made from raw natural fibers such as Linen and Cotton; We are also adapting our designs to avoid waste of fabric, the use of closures and any inputs from plastic sources; using wooden and coconut buttons.
Choice of fibers
We research, make samples, wash tests and choose the final fabrics (all plant-based) for our designs.
Pattern making
This is one of the most important parts of the process, since it depends on the pattern making that our sizes adapt to your measurements. In this step we make all our molds manually plus their transformations according to the design.
Court
We spread our fabric on the cutting table, level it and place our patterns on it, which are fixed with pins and cut one by one manually.
Making
All Nahual garments are made one by one, we also avoid the use of plastic inputs by replacing them with coconut or wooden buttons that are placed one by one manually; We take the time and patience necessary per piece, taking care of the details and quality; With this we guarantee the optimal use of materials and supplies.
QA
Once the garment is finished, it is polished, the pins and excess threads are removed and all the seams are checked so that it looks as good as possible.
Ironing
Then it is ironed very well; Although linen has a natural wrinkle, with this step we eliminate the excesses that have been made during the entire process.
Bent
In this step, the label is placed with a stamp and the garment is labeled with washing instructions, finally it is folded to be packed.
Our main purpose is to minimize the environmental impact as much as possible, which is why we use textile surpluses for our brand image, creating labels and tests with them.
Packing
We use only one packaging to avoid more waste and contamination, our bag is made from corn which makes it compostable and biodegradable.
Shipment
Finally we walk to the conveyor to take your package.
As you can see, here we only describe the behind-the-scenes process to make a garment in general terms, but it is something more complex, requiring several gears and a lot of time to create, resolve problems, do tests, take care of details, among others; It is important for us to do what is necessary to reach you in the best way and give you an excellent experience!
